Upgrading Studio

Use this page to upgrade from Ecrion Design Studio Suite or EngageCX Studio to MHC Studio.

MHC Studio includes four applications: Publisher, Modeler, Analyst, and Drive. Studio is installed on Windows workstations and is available onPrem only.

What's Changed

Studio's applications and features are essentially unchanged from earlier versions. Publisher, Modeler, Analyst, and Drive work the way you already know, and the main changes are the product names and the software prerequisites.

Note

MHC Drive currently appears as EngageCX Drive in the Windows Start Menu, the taskbar, and the Studio ribbons.

Software Prerequisites

The current version of Studio requires:

  • .NET 10 Runtime (x64), ASP.NET 10 Runtime (x64), and ASP.NET 10 Hosting Bundle
  • Microsoft Visual C++ 2015–2022 Redistributable (x64)
  • .NET Framework 4.8

Before You Begin

  • Confirm your workstation meets the Studio Requirements.
  • In EngageCX Drive, check in any pending changes so your latest work is saved to the NorthStar CCM Platform. See Check In Pending Changes.
  • Note the Drive accounts you connect to and their local folder locations.

Upgrade Steps

  1. Install MHC Studio. Run the setup wizard and select the applications you need. MHC Drive is installed automatically. See the Studio Installation Guide.
  2. Connect MHC Drive. Sign in with your Enterprise Website URL and credentials. See Signing in.
  3. Confirm your license. In any Studio application, go to File > Account to check your license type and expiration date. Your NorthStar CCM administrator must assign a Studio license to your account.

After Upgrading

  • Open a template in Publisher, a diagram in Modeler, and a dashboard in Analyst to confirm they load correctly.
  • In MHC Drive, use Get Latest Version to make sure your local files match the server.
