Cloud
The cloud deployment option runs NorthStar CCM on infrastructure hosted and managed by MHC, rather than on servers your organization owns. This removes the burden of provisioning, patching, and scaling infrastructure from your internal IT team.
Cloud is generally the fastest way to get started, since there's no on-site hardware to provision before implementation can begin. It's also the only deployment option that includes AI-assisted template generation and translation (Enterprise and Enterprise Plus).
onPrem
The onPrem deployment option runs NorthStar CCM entirely on infrastructure your organization owns and manages: your own servers, your own data center, and your own IT team handling maintenance and scaling. No document data passes through third-party cloud infrastructure at any point.
onPrem is typically the right fit for organizations with data residency, sovereignty, or regulatory requirements that rule out cloud-hosted infrastructure. AI-assisted authoring and translation features are not available onPrem.
anyPrem
The anyPrem option lets you run NorthStar CCM Enterprise on infrastructure that you choose and manage, whether that's your own servers or a private cloud environment. Instead of using MHC's hosted cloud, you deploy the application wherever your organization's IT, security, or compliance requirements call for.
This can be a good fit if your organization:
- Needs to keep documents and customer data within its own network or a specific region.
- Has standardized on a private cloud provider and wants all applications hosted there.
- Must meet regulatory or internal policies that prevent the use of vendor-hosted software.
- Wants direct control over infrastructure, updates, and maintenance schedules.
With anyPrem, your organization is responsible for provisioning and maintaining the environment that NorthStar CCM runs on.

Studio
Studio is a suite of desktop applications installed on Windows workstations, and is available onPrem only. MHC Drive, included with Studio, synchronizes your templates, data models, and dashboards with your NorthStar CCM environment.
